Day 39.Seek God in Time of Trouble
Level 1: (5 Minutes) On Good Friday let us rest for a moment and breathe deeply, focused on the Depth and Breath of God’s Love.
Level 2: (10 minutes) Do Level 1. After Reading the scripture adaptation, take 5 minutes to highlight words or phrases.
Adapted from Psalm 143. Hear my prayer, Oh Lord. Give ear to my supplications! Answer me in Your faithfulness and in Your righteousness. I feel crushed and persecuted by the enemy. He has crushed my life to the ground and made me dwell in dark places. Therefore, my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart is desolate within me. I stretch out my hands to You, my soul longs for You. Answer me quickly, Oh Lord, as my spirit fails. Do not hide Your face from me…Let me hear Your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in You. Teach me to do Your will for You are my God. Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For the sake of Your name, revive me. In Your righteousness, bring my soul out of trouble…For I am Your servant. In all things, Your will be done, Amen
Level 3: (15 minutes) After pausing to breathe and reading the Scripture prayer, take 5 minutes to write about where this Psalm touches your heart.
Level 4: (30-60 minutes) Two requests for prayer from our beloved community need our focus.
Kathleen S reports Hudson’s surgery went well. The next several days of recovery are critical so please
keep the prayers coming.
Also, Linda J asks for prayers for 2 1/2 year old Alana. She had heart surgery on March 6. Complications have caused her to be put in a coma for the second time. Effects on her brain are unknown. She’s the great granddaughter of a friend in our church. Please hold these children and families in your hearts.
